BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The SBU athletics department is pleased to announce the addition of a number of new promotions for the upcoming year. In addition to the many in-game promotions that are run by the department, a number of game giveaways have been added to the schedule.

Domino's Pizza will be sponsoring the Domino's Big Game promotion. Each varsity sport at SBU will pick one game on their schedule to be their Domino's Big Game. The first 30 students entering that game will receive a coupon for a free lava cake at Domino's. Domino's also sponsors a game day price of $5.99 for a large one topping pizza (carryout only) and fans can take advantage of this promotion on any SBU game day.

The SBU Bookstore is sponsoring Purple Fridays. Each Friday during the school year, students, faculty and staff at SBU are encouraged to wear purple or SBU logo apparel. Each Friday a different department on campus will have gift coupons to hand out to students which give them 10% off selected merchandise in the SBU Bookstore. “The SBU Bookstore is excited to help promote 'Purple Fridays' on the SBU campus. And we are delighted to support SBU by issuing these coupons," said bookstore's Walt Tredway.

The University Activities Council at SBU is also sponsoring a t-shirt giveaway at the first home football game. The Activities Council will give away 200 purple t-shirts with the new SBU logo on them to help support the game theme of “Purple Craze.”
