FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. --
Senior SBU sprinter Frank Grant, Jr. finished fourth in the 100 meters and third in the 200 meters at the Division I Arkansas Twilight outdoor meet. Jeremy Glassmaker also picked up an NCAA provisional time in the 1500 meters. Only a handful of SBU runners competed at the event, as the Bearcats prepared for the MIAA Outdoor Championships next weekend.

Grant took third in the 200 meters (21.47), finishing behind Marvin Bonde of Oral Roberts and Selwyn Tatum, who ran unattached. Grant placed fourth in the 100 meters (10.52), finishing behind two Allen County JC runners and LaShawn Butler of Arkansas.

Glassmaker's provisional mark in the 1500 meters (3:49.24) was also a new personal best, as he just missed a top ten finish at 11th place. Freshman J.T. Goins took 13th (55.91) in the 400 meter hurdles.

Among the women's sprinters, Corie Chuning took 10th in the 100 meter dash (12.17) while Jasmine Sanford was 13th (12.36). Sanford also ran in the 200 meters, earning a new personal best of 25.64. Jenny Blair was 14th in the 200 meters (25.16) and Katie Dusenberg was also 14th in the 400 meter hurdles (1:06.78).

The women's relay squads took sixth in the 4x100 meters (48.19) and 13th in the 4x400 meters (3:58.91 - season best).

The full Bearcat teams will compete next weekend, May 8 and 9, at the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Pittsburg State University. Saturday's events begin at 2 p.m. while Sunday's begin at noon.
