PITTSBURG, Kan. --
The SBU outdoor track and field opened their 2010 season at the Pittsburg State / Wendy's Open, with Jenny Blair and Jeremy Glassmaker picking up multiple event wins.

Blair won the 200 meter dash at 25.85 and also took the 400 meter race at 58.94. Katie Dusenburg took second in the 400 meters (59.67) and placed sixth in the 200 meters. In the 5000 meter run, SBU went two through four with Melanie McVay (2nd, 19:09.05), Rebecca Brigance (3rd, 19:47.49) and Andrea Owensby (4th, 20:52.29).

Glassmaker won both the 800 meter (1:57.36) and 1500 meter (4:04.18) races. Cameron Ayers took fourth in the 800 meters (2:01.19) while Aaron Williams was sixth (2:06.19). Ayers also placed fifth in the 1500 meters at 4:10.60. JT Goins took fifth in the 400 meter hurdles at 59.16. Phillip Miller (9:39.39) took third while Michael McCampbell (10:05.33) was fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Jacob Barge was sixth in the shot put at 40 feet, 2.25 inches.

The Bearcat teams return to action in two weeks, with athletes competing at the University of Arkansas John McDonnell Invitational on Friday, April 9, and also at the Pitt State Gorilla Classic on Saturday, April 10.
