SBU linebacker Jordan Jackson has been named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII First Team. Jackson, a senior from Ozark, Mo., carries a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in economics/finance and accounting.

Jackson has played in 42 games over his four-year career at SBU, recording 126 tackles, as well as three sacks and four inteceptions.

Along with being selected to the first team, Jackson is eligible for the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America ballot. The All-America vote will take place later this month, and is voted on by the CoSIDA Academic All-America Committee, as well as the CoSIDA Board of Directors.

CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) was founded in 1957. There were 102 members at the original meetings; since that time, CoSIDA has grown to over 2,400 members in the United States and Canada.
