KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Megan Link (Southwest Baptist) and Beth Bystrom (Truman) have been named MIAA Soccer Co-Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-6 as selected by a conference SID panel.
DENVER, Colo. -- After jumping out to a quick start, the SBU Bearcats couldn't hold off the 10th-ranked Roadrunners of Metro State, as they fell 2-0. Freshman Ashley Creason took a team-high five shots, but was unable to hit the back of the net. Freshman keeper Paige Hemphill made seven saves while facing 22 shots in her collegiate debut.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- After waiting an extra night to kick off the 2010 season, the SBU Bearcats knocked off the nationally-ranked Quincy Lady Hawks in Springfield, 1-0. Originally scheduled to be the 'Cats home opener on September 2nd, the match was moved to Harrison Stadium on the campus of Drury University due to heavy rain in the area.
