LAKELAND, Fla. -- The 2010 SBU volleyball season kicks off this week, as the Bearcats travel to Lakeland, Fla., for the Florida Southern Classic. The ‘Cats will play four matches in two days against the Montevallo Falcons, Florida Southern Mocs, Angelo State Rambelles, and Missouri S&T Lady Miners.
BOLIVAR, Mo. -- Due to the inclement weather, the season-opening match against the nationally ranked Quincy Lady Hawks has been moved to Harrison Stadium, on the campus of Drury University. The match has been rescheduled for 12:30 pm on Friday, September 3.
SKILLMAN, N.J. -- The 2009-10 SBU women's tennis team was one of 38 NCAA Division II teams to earn the ITA All-Academic Team Award. In addition, four Bearcats, Jolee Cook, Jenna Hendrickson, Sarah Sentlinger, and Crystal Guiot earned the ITA Scholar Athlete Award.
BOLIVAR, Mo. -- SBU women's soccer is set to open their 2010 regular season on Thursday, September 2 when they host Quincy beginning at 4 p.m. from the SBU soccer field. The Bearcats were fortunate to take a preseason mission trip to Brazil a few weeks ago and used the opportunity as a team-building experience. Just prior to the trip, head coach Robert Podeyn shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and the new faces on his squad.
