KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- SBU's Krysta Baderdeen was one of three players to earn MIAA Softball Hitter of the Week honors, for the week ending March 7. The Bearcat junior third baseman shared the award with third baseman Krista Cummings of Central Missouri and catcher Amanda Self of Emporia State. Pitcher Karley Schmelzer of Emporia State was named MIAA Softball Pitcher of the Week.

After rolling over Colorado State-Pueblo, the #31 Bearcats took on a trio of ranked opponents but came up just short, falling to #29 Midwestern State, #33 East Central and the host school, #20 Cameron University.
